Customers or visitors to this web site are referred to as "You" or "Your"
The Chocolate Deli are referred to as "Us" or "We".

Postage & Packaging

1.

Postage & packing prices are based on orders to UK mainland addresses and European address's only. We send variously by Royal Mail's standard postage service (2-5 days delivery)
Orders under £20.00 - £4.95
Orders over £20.00 - £5.95
Next working day 'Special Delivery' for orders placed before 12pm - £7.95

2.

If you have the telephone number for the recipient, this may be helpful to the postman or delivery driver, please ensure you leave details in the appropriate field in the checkout section.

3.

A signature will be required for all parcels so please ensure you provide an address where the items can be signed for on the delivery day. If we have to re-direct the items a charge may be made to cover that cost.

4.

FULL VALID POST CODES are required for every order. We will not send any orders without one. If you provide an incorrect address, including the postcode, we do not accept any responsibility for a failure of an order to arrive or any costs involved in redirecting that order.

5.

We strive to dispatch orders the same day if they are received before 12pm (Monday to Thursday) although this is not always possible. Orders may take up to 5 days to be dispatched.

6.

If you have chosen Special Delivery ("Special Delivery") we will send the order the same day for next day delivery so long as the order was received before 12:00 (Monday to Thursday). Because delivery is handled by outside contractors we cannot guarantee delivery although we use our reasonable endeavors to ensure delivery on the date requested. Please call if have a special request

If Special Delivery orders are received outside of the above times we will strive to send the order the same day, or if this is not possible, orders will be sent the next working day.

8.

Any orders received on Friday are generally not sent until Monday, this includes courier orders, which are not sent on Fridays for Saturday delivery. This is simply because we do not want your chocolate sitting in a remote storeroom over the weekend.

9.

If an item is unavailable we reserve the right to either swap the item for something similar or post the missing item at a later date. In either case we will try to contact you before delivery via telephone and / or email. If contact with you cannot be made via telephone and/or email we will do which is most appropriate.

10.

In hot or extremely cold weather, we reserve the right to delay your order until the weather has moderated. In extreme situations this can delay orders for several days. Please make sure you have provided us with your phone number

11.

For urgent orders we will contact you for authority to send despite prevailing weather conditions. If you authorise such dispatch we cannot accept any liability for damage or loss.

12.

Time is not of the essence in relation to this contract.

Damages & Tracing Parcels

13.

In the event that your chocolate is damaged in transit please contact Us within 24 hours of receipt. Products received by special delivery should be checked before being signed for. If the exterior packaging or the product are found to be damaged you must then sign "checked and found to be damaged". If you fail to do this we may not be able to offer a refund.

14.

If products sent by Royal Mail standard delivery are not delivered please contact Us for details of the tracking and tracing procedure.

15.

If products sent by special delivery and not delivered please contact Us for details of the online and telephone tracking procedure.

16.

If orders are considered by Us to be lost in transit after a reasonable period time has elapsed we shall at Our discretion either refund or resend the order.

Overseas Orders

17.

We only deliver to addresses in the UK and other EU countries where the billing address is in the UK.

Returns Policy

19.

If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with any product that you have purchased from Us, you may return it to Us, at your expense, within 7 days from the date of dispatch.

20.

Provided it is returned in its original packaging and the product has not been consumed other than is reasonable to establish the quality of the product you are not happy with we will refund the entire purchase price including the cost of postage. If you are returning the product because it is simply unwanted, the product must be returned both unopened and in original condition and we will only refund the cost of the product.

21.

If your returned chocolate is not in the original packaging or consumed more than was reasonable to establish the quality of product, we reserve the right to levy a charge commensurate with that loss.
